Adding a New Daily Log
Daily Logs
Daily Logs are an important document to have filled out every day for each ongoing project. Contractor Foreman provides an easy method for tracking daily activities on the jobsite with Daily Logs. You can log weather, Visitors, Task accomplished, materials used and more.
To create a new Daily Log, go to main menu and click Daily Logs. Next click on blue button for “Create New Daily Log.”
Required Fields are marked with an Asterisk (*.)
Select Project in new Daily Log
Arrival Date and Time: This is where the Lead onsite will enter when they arrived on site.
Tasks Performed: Enter a narrative of what tasks were accomplished that day.
Departure Day and Time: Enter when your crew left the site at end of work day.
Weather: If you are using automatic weather, the first field for high and Low temp with fill in automatically. If not enter it manually. The next field is for the actual condition. Use the drop down to select the closest match.
Materials: If you have populated materials in Company settings you can select them here. If not, use the box below to add in materials used.
Equipment: If you have populated Equipment in Company settings you can select them here. If not, use the box below to add in materials used.
Project Images: Here you can load files and photos that relate directly to that day’s work on the project. They can be progress photos, damages, weather related images or anything that shows what progress was accomplished or what progress was delayed. It’s better to have too many photos taken than not enough.
Any Visitors Onsite: Here you can log any visitors that came to the site. Owners, Inspectors etc. If you click “Yes” A note field will open below field where you can add notes regarding visitors.
Any Schedule Delays: Did any activity or lack of cause a schedule delay? If so click “Yes” and enter notes in the field below that will open.
Any Weather Delays: If weather caused any delays on the project that day click yes and enter notes in the field that will open below.
Any Accidents: Were there any accidents of any type, vehicle, equipment, physical etc. that happened on the job that day? If so, click yes and enter notes in the field that will open below.
Log Notes: Add any other notes that may be pertinent to that day’s work in this field.
To save the Daily Log, click “Submit” or to edit it after saving click the green pencil icon in upper right.
