Adding a Schedule Notice

Purpose

A Schedule Notice is used to communicate potential delays, changes, or concerns related to the construction schedule. Whether caused by weather, labor shortages, material delivery issues, or scope changes, schedule notices document the impact on timelines and help maintain accountability. These notices are key to managing expectations and avoiding disputes over project duration.

Why Use a Schedule Notice?

  • Construction schedules are dynamic, and many factors can cause changes. Using a Schedule Notice allows you to formally document and communicate these changes in real-time. It helps keep all stakeholders aligned, provides justification for time extensions when needed, and protects your company against potential liability for project delays.

  1. From the submenu, select RFI & Notice

Best Practices

  • Always include photo documentation to support your description.
  • Be as specific as possible in the issue and resolution fields to ensure clear communication.
  • Use consistent naming for “From” and “To” fields for better tracking across reports.
  • Archive notices only after the issue has been resolved and verified.
