Yes. Bills can be synced between Contractor Foreman and QuickBooks when the QuickBooks integration is properly connected. This helps keep your project and accounting information aligned without requiring duplicate data entry

How Bill Sync Works

You can create a Bill in Contractor Foreman from a Subcontract, Purchase Order, or directly from the Bills module. Once the QuickBooks integration is set up, the Bill can sync with QuickBooks.

When a Bill is synced, important information such as the vendor, bill date, due date, terms, and bill number can transfer between the two systems

Important Note About Bill Sync Limitations

There is an important limitation when syncing Bills from QuickBooks to Contractor Foreman.

Contractor Foreman does not currently support QuickBooks Bills that are associated with multiple projects (split transactions).

For the best project tracking and job-costing results, Contractor Foreman recommends creating project-related Bills in Contractor Foreman rather than creating them directly in QuickBooks.

 Set Up QuickBooks Integration

Before Bills can sync, you must connect Contractor Foreman with QuickBooks.

Go to the QuickBooks integration settings in Contractor Foreman and complete the integration setup.

What Transfers to QuickBooks
When reviewing the bill in QuickBooks, the following general details transfer successfully:Vendor or Subcontractor (Supplier)
1. Bill Date
2. Due Date
3. Terms
4. Bill Number
These elements appear in QuickBooks exactly as they were entered in Contractor Foreman.

How Bill Items Are Handled

Bill line items can be handled differently depending on how the Bill is entered.

When using Item Details in QuickBooks, Products and Services can be mapped to Contractor Foreman’s parent and child codes. This allows information such as quantity, rate, amount, and cost code to transfer more accurately.

Using Category Details can result in missing information in Contractor Foreman, including cost codes, units, and specific quantity/unit-cost information. For proper job costing, Item Details are recommended.

Recommended Approach

For project-related Bills, Contractor Foreman recommends creating and managing the Bill in Contractor Foreman and allowing it to sync to QuickBooks. This maintains the connection between the Bill and related Subcontracts or Purchase Orders.
