The Files and Photos module in Contractor Foreman acts as a centralized library where you can visualize, organize, and manage all the different files that have been uploaded to your account. It serves as a hub for all project-related documents and images, keeping your team aligned and your documentation accessible.

Editing Capabilities

Within this module, you can edit different types of files, such as:

  • PDFs
  • Excel spreadsheets
  • Word documents
  • Images

The Markup feature allows you to:

  • Add annotations or comments to your PDFs.
  • Fill out predetermined fields on existing PDF forms.
  • Edit and work directly on Word and Excel files.

Note: These editing features are only available on the desktop version of Contractor Foreman — they are not supported in the mobile app.

Automatic Folder Organization

When you upload files or photos from other modules, Contractor Foreman automatically organizes them into folders within the Files and Photos section.

For example:

  • If you upload a photo to a Daily Log for the first time, the system automatically creates a folder named “Daily Logs” under that project.

    • Every new photo or file uploaded to Daily Logs in that project will now be stored in that same folder.

  • The same applies to other modules such as Safety Meetings, Inspections, Incidents, and more.

    • Upload a file to Safety Meetings for the first time, and a “Safety Meetings” folder will be created automatically.

This structure keeps all project files organized by their module of origin.

Company-Level File Management

Besides project-specific folders, the Files and Photos module also allows you to manage Company Documents.
You can:

  • Upload files directly to your company folders.

  • Create custom folders for internal documentation.

  • Download multiple files in bulk for faster exporting.

  • Send files via email to internal users, external contacts, or clients directly from within the system.
