Basics of Notes

Purpose

To create and manage Notes in Contractor Foreman.

Background

The Notes module is a simple but powerful tool that helps you keep track of important details, reminders, and tasks. Notes can be linked to specific projects or used as personal reminders to stay organized and on top of daily activities.

Points to Remember

• Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

• To save your work, click the blue Save button.

• To edit an existing Note, click the green pencil icon in the upper right corner.

• Deleting Notes can only be done by users with Admin rights or those who have been granted permission to delete.

• To delete a Note, click the Action button at the bottom right of the page and select Delete.

Steps to Create a New Note

1. Navigate to the Main Menu.

2. Click Notes.

3. Click the Plus (+) button at the top left to create a new Note.

4. Enter the following information:

   • Project: Select from the system list.

   • Title: (Required) Enter a title for the Note.

   • Status: Choose Open or Closed.

   • Priority: Select the level of priority for the Note.

   • Note: Enter the details or description relevant to the project.

   • Make Private: Check this box to make the Note Visible Only to Me.

   • Add Attachment: Upload any related photos or files.

     • On a phone or tablet, this option appears as a camera button, allowing you to capture and upload images instantly.

Notes linked to a project can also be viewed under:

• Daily Log → Notes Tab

• Project → Notes Tab

This ensures that all project-related notes are easy to find and accessible to authorized team members.
