At this time, Contractor Foreman does not have a dedicated feature for tracking customer or vendor credits. This means credits from overpayments, refunds, or similar transactions cannot be recorded and automatically applied to another invoice or bill within Contractor Foreman.

How to Handle Customer or Vendor Credits

Contractor Foreman currently does not provide a native Customer Credit or Vendor Credit feature.

If you need to track a credit, you should manage the credit through your accounting system, such as QuickBooks, and then account for it when reconciling your Contractor Foreman records.

QuickBooks Integration Note

If you use QuickBooks Online with Contractor Foreman, there is an important difference in how overpayments and credits are handled.

QuickBooks

QuickBooks can record an overpayment and retain the additional amount as a credit that can be applied later.

Contractor Foreman

Contractor Foreman does not have the same native credit functionality. Entering a payment that is greater than the invoice or bill amount may result in a mismatch when the transaction is synced with QuickBooks.

Therefore, customer or vendor credits should be handled directly in QuickBooks when QuickBooks is being used as your accounting system. You can then manually account for the credit when reconciling your Contractor Foreman records.

Key Takeaway

Contractor Foreman does not currently support dedicated customer or vendor credit tracking. If you need to record or apply a customer or vendor credit, handle it in QuickBooks and reconcile it with Contractor Foreman as needed.
