Yes — all your Opportunity details remain intact after creating an Estimate. When you create an Estimate from within an Opportunity, the system simply links the Estimate to that Opportunity record. Nothing is removed or altered.

Your Opportunity — including its details, attachments, notes, photos, and any other information — stays exactly as it is.

However, once the Estimate is approved, the Opportunity will automatically convert into a Project. When that happens, all the information from the Opportunity (notes, files, estimate, etc.) will seamlessly transfer over to the new Project record, ensuring that no data is lost in the process.

In short:

  • Creating an Estimate does not affect your Opportunity details.
  • Approving the Estimate simply converts your Opportunity into a Project — keeping all your data connected and organized.
