How to Edit/Customize Forms?

Customizing forms in Contractor Foreman allows you to tailor them to fit your company’s unique needs. Whether you’re using a company-specific form or editing a form from the Forms & Checklists Library, the process is simple and flexible.

Understanding the Types of Forms You Can Edit

Company Forms: These are forms that your company has either created from scratch or customized from a library form. You can edit and tailor these forms to your company’s needs time to time.
Forms from the Library: You cannot directly edit forms in the library. However, you can customize a library form by first making a copy of it and then editing it.

Editing Company Forms

When you want to edit a form that is already part of your company’s collection, click the three dots to the right of the form which you want to edit, and select Edit This Form. It will take you either to the Basic Form Builder or the Advanced Form Builder depending on which builder was used to create the form. For example, if the form you want to customize is created using the Basic Form Builder, it will take you to the Basic Form Builder when you try to edit it.

Editing Forms from the Library

Even though you cannot directly customize forms in the forms library, you can create a copy of a form and customize it for your liking. This is great if there’s already a form in the library closer to what you want to create with slight modifications. Simply click three dots to the right of the form you want to customize, select Copy This Form, and start customising your form. After making changes, save the form, and it will show up in your company forms ready to use.
