Employee Clocking Out Questions – Update

Purpose:
To explain the recent improvements made to the employee clock-out process in Contractor Foreman, making it easier for Time Card admins to manage entries while reducing unnecessary modification requests.

Background:
Previously, employees with modification privileges could unintentionally trigger change request emails when clocking out, creating additional work for Time Card admins. To streamline the workflow, the clock-out process has been updated. Employees now have clearer options and visibility into their recorded time, which helps prevent confusion and unnecessary adjustments.

Key Points to Remember:

  • Clock-out questions have been modified to simplify the process.
  • Users with modification privileges will no longer send automatic change request emails when clocking out.
  • Employees will now be explicitly asked whether they want to modify their time or simply clock out.
  • The start and stop times are displayed on the clock-out screen for transparency.

Steps for Employees

  1. Access the Time Card Menu
    • Navigate to: Menu → Time Card

  1. Creating a New Time Card
    • Select + New Time Card to log time.

  1. Viewing History
    • Use the Show History option to review past entries for accuracy.

  1. Clocking Out
    • On clocking out, you will now see your start and stop times displayed.
    • You will also be asked if you want to modify your time or simply clock out.

What This Means for Admins:

  • Fewer unnecessary change request emails.
  • Reduced time spent reviewing or approving unintended modifications.
  • Cleaner and more accurate Time Card data from the start.

What This Means for Employees:

  • Clearer options at clock-out (Modify vs. Clock Out).
  • Greater visibility into their logged hours.
  • Less chance of unintentionally triggering a modification request.

Additional Notes:

  • These improvements were made specifically to support Time Card admins and improve efficiency.
  • Employees should continue to review their clock-in and clock-out times daily for accuracy.
  • If further modifications are needed, they can still be handled through the standard approval process.
