Enable Offline Time Cards

Overview

Offline Time Cards allow employees using the Contractor Foreman mobile app to continue tracking their time even when they do not have an internet connection. This is useful for crews working in remote locations or areas with limited cellular service.

When enabled, time card entries are stored locally on the mobile device and synchronize with Contractor Foreman once an internet connection is restored.

Note: Offline Time Cards are currently available as a preview feature.

Enable Offline Time Cards

To enable Offline Time Cards:

1. Navigate to Settings.
2. 
3. Open Time Card settings.
4. Scroll to the Automatic Breaks section.
5. 
6. Locate Offline Time Cards (Preview).
7. Change the setting to Yes.
8. 
9. Save your changes.

Once enabled, users can begin using Offline Time Cards in the mobile app.

How Offline Time Cards Work

When an employee loses internet connectivity, the mobile app continues recording time card activity on the device.

Once the device reconnects to the internet, the stored time card information is synchronized with Contractor Foreman automatically, making it available within your company records.

This allows employees to continue working without interruption, even when network access is unavailable.

When to Use Offline Time Cards

Offline Time Cards are especially useful when employees work in locations where internet service may be unreliable, including:

• Remote job sites
• Underground or enclosed work areas
• Rural locations
• Buildings with poor cellular reception

Enabling this feature helps reduce missed time entries caused by connectivity issues.
