To apply tax to your invoices in Contractor Foreman, you need to set up your tax rates first. To configure your tax rates, from the Main Menu, go to Settings. Under the System Settings heading, click on Financial. There you will see a setting field called Tax Rates.

Click on Add Tax Rate + to add a new tax rate.

Provide a name for the tax rate (e.g., “Sales Tax” or “VAT”) and input the appropriate percentage for the tax. After entering the necessary details, click Save to store the new tax rate.

Now that you have created your tax rate, you can use that tax rate on your invoices.

Go to the Invoices module and open the invoice where you want to add tax. Once in the invoice, click on the Items tab in the left panel. In the Items section, you will see all the line items added to the invoice. On the right side of each line item, there is a checkbox to mark it as Taxable. Check this box for the items you want to apply tax to.

Below the list of items, you will see an option to select the applicable tax rate. Choose the tax rate you previously created from the drop-down menu.

Once the tax rate is selected, the system will automatically calculate the tax amount based on the taxable items and display the total tax amount for the invoice.
