Keeping track of expired permits is crucial for compliance and smooth project management. Contractor Foreman provides two simple ways to find them.

Option 1: From the Permits Dashboard

  1. Head over to the Permits Module.

  2. On the main dashboard, sort the permits by expiration date.

  3. This will let you quickly identify which permits are already expired or nearing expiration.

Option 2: From the Reports Module

  1. Go to the Reports Module.

  2. Click on Create Custom Report.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select Permits.

  4. Filter your report to show expired permits.

  5. Run the report to generate a complete list.

Why is this important?

  • Avoid penalties and delays: Expired permits can result in fines or project shutdowns if discovered by inspectors.

  • Stay compliant: Maintaining a record of expired permits helps demonstrate you’ve tracked and managed them properly.

  • Improve planning: Knowing which permits have expired helps you plan renewals, reapplications, or schedule inspections on time.

  • Historical reference: Expired permits also serve as a record of what was approved and when, useful for audits or future renovations.

By regularly reviewing your expired permits in Contractor Foreman, you not only stay compliant but also protect your projects from costly setbacks.
