How Do I Add a Video Link for Any Safety Topic?

Purpose

Adding a video link to your Safety Meetings is a simple but powerful way to reinforce safety procedures, demonstrate best practices, or meet OSHA and internal training requirements. Whether it’s a third-party training video or company-produced walkthrough, linking to video content helps improve clarity and engagement during safety discussions.

When Should You Use This?

  • To visually demonstrate procedures that are difficult to explain in text
  • To support a toolbox, talk or safety topic with relevant real-world examples
  • To meet industry compliance standards that require multimedia training
  • When introducing a new process or tool to your crew

Steps to Add a Video Link to a Safety Meeting

  1. Navigate to the Main Menu
  1. Click on Safety Meetings

  1. From the list view, select the Safety Meeting where you want to add a video

  1. Once inside the selected Safety Meeting, look to the left-side panel and click on Notes

  1. In the Notes section, click on the Note tab

  1. Click Add Attachment

  1. In the pop-up window:
    • Choose Video as the attachment type
    • Paste the video link (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo, or company-hosted video)
    • Enter a Title (e.g., “Ladder Safety Overview”)
    • Add a brief Description explaining what the video covers or why it’s important
  1. Click Submit to save the video to the Safety Meeting

What to Keep in Mind

  • The video will now be accessible within the meeting record and can be viewed during or after the meeting
  • Only users with appropriate permissions (Admin or Full Access) can add video attachments
  • Be sure the video link is publicly accessible or shared properly if it’s a private/internal link
  • Videos can help document that your meeting content included visual training components, which may support compliance reviews
