Sometimes, a single contact may have multiple people associated with it, such as when you’re working with a customer who has other individuals that are important to the project. In these cases, you can add Additional Contacts to the main contact’s record. This feature is especially helpful when multiple people need access to the client portal.

To begin, go to the Directory module, where all your contacts are listed. This can be found in the main menu of Contractor Foreman. From the list of contacts, click on the specific contact to which you want to add additional contacts. This could be a lead, customer, contractor, or a vendor. Once you click on a contact, you will be taken to that contact’s profile page.

On the profile page, look for the Additional Contacts widget. This widget will allow you to manage any additional contacts related to the primary contact.

Click the +Additional Contact button within the widget. This will open a form where you can input the details of the new additional contact. Fill in the necessary details for the additional contact and click Save. The new contact will now appear in the Additional Contacts widget under the primary contact’s profile.

Why Use Additional Contacts?

Adding Additional Contacts is particularly useful in cases where multiple people are involved in a project but are all connected to one primary contact. For example, if you have a customer who has multiple team members or family members that need to be kept in the loop for a project, you can add them as additional contacts.

Also, if multiple people need access to the client portal for a project, they must be listed as additional contacts. This allows each person to have their own access to the portal, ensuring they receive important project updates, documents, and communications.
