The Schedule Module allows you to add easily and modify tasks within the Gantt chart. To add a task to the schedule, navigate to the Schedule module from the Main Menu.

Select the project for which you want to add tasks.

If you are viewing the selected project for the first time in the Schedule module, you will be prompted to enter a Start Date and End Date for the project.

Enter the desired date range and click Save. A Gantt chart will be generated with a sample task that spans the duration you provided. This will act as a placeholder to help you get started.

Once the project is selected and the Gantt chart is generated, you can begin adding tasks. Click the + button in front of the project name. This will prompt you to enter task information in a pop-up form.

In the form, you’ll be asked to fill in the following fields:

Task Name: Enter a clear and descriptive name for the task.

Description: Add any details or notes about the task.

Assign Contractor: Select one or more contractors to assign to the task. If the task responsible is an Employee, select them here.

Assign Employees: Choose employees whom will supervise the “Assigned Contractor”

Task Type: Choose whether this is a regular task or a milestone (milestones have no duration).

Progress: Set the task progress percentage (0% to 100%).

Color: Choose the color for the task box in the Gantt chart for easy identification.

Use ‘Scheduled/Planned’ to represent the actual duration of the project—what happened in reality.

Use ‘Baseline/Actual’ to refer to the original plan of action.

These terms are alternated and come from a third party, making them difficult to edit or change. We are aware of the misleading labeling, which is why we are presenting this clarification to ensure you have no issues using this module.

Once you’ve entered all the task details, click Save. The task will now appear in your project’s Gantt chart.

To add sub-tasks under a main task, click the + button in front of the task name. Enter the sub-task details just like adding a regular task. You can continue adding multiple levels of sub-tasks to break down the work further.

To modify an Existing Task, In the Gantt chart, find the task you want to modify, double-click on the task name or the task box in the Gantt chart. This will open the task form, allowing you to make modifications. Modify the task details as needed, including the name, description, assigned contractors/employees, progress, dates, and other fields.

Once you’ve made the necessary updates, click Save to apply the changes to the task.
