Adding custom Safety Topics allows you to tailor meetings to your company’s specific needs, jobsite conditions, or compliance requirements. Keeping your topics organized and up to date helps ensure every safety meeting is relevant, consistent, and documented — protecting both your team and your company.

How to Add a New Safety Topic

  1. Go to the Safety Meeting module.
  2. In the top right corner of the screen, click View Safety Topics.
  3. You’ll now see a list of all existing Safety Topics in your Contractor Foreman account.
    1. Use the Search Bar at the top left to quickly find a specific topic.
    2. You can also switch between different views to display Active Topics, Inactive Topics, or All Topics.
  4. To create a new topic, click the “+ Add Safety Topic” button.
  5. A new window will appear — fill out the required fields:
    1. Topic Name (required)
    2. Topic Text (main content or discussion points)
    3. Service Status (active/inactive)
    4. Language (English, Spanish, etc.)
  6. Once all fields are complete, click Save.

Your new Safety Topic will now appear in the list and can be used in any upcoming Safety Meeting.

Best Practice Tip

Customize your safety topics to reflect real conditions on your jobsites — such as seasonal risks, new equipment, or recent near misses. Keeping your content relevant not only strengthens your safety culture but also shows documented proof that your company is proactive in preventing incidents.
