Archiving a Work Order in Contractor Foreman is a simple way to keep your project dashboard clean without permanently deleting important records. You might archive a Work Order, for example, once the scope of work has been completed, the customer has paid, or if it was created for internal tracking but is no longer relevant. Archiving keeps your data safe but out of sight, so you can focus on active work.

How to archive a Work Order

  1. Open the Work Order you want to archive.

  2. Click on the three-dot icon (Action Items) in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Archive.

That’s it—your Work Order is now moved out of the active list.

How to retrieve archived Work Orders

If you ever need to reference or reactivate an archived Work Order, you can easily bring it back:

  1. Go to the Work Orders main dashboard.

  2. Click on the funnel (filter) icon.

  3. Under Record Status, switch from Active to Archived (or choose All to view everything).

  4. Select the Work Order you want and click Unarchive.

This flexibility ensures that even when you archive items, nothing is lost—you’re simply organizing your workspace for better efficiency.
