Contractor Foreman simplifies the process of managing project-related files efficiently by providing a set of default folders for each project. These folders are automatically generated based on the different modules associated with the project, ensuring that project files are neatly organized from the start. However, the platform also allows users to customize the folder structure to fit their specific needs by adding new folders and subfolders.

In the Files & Photos module, you will see a list of your projects in the left panel where you can choose the specific Project whose files and folders you wish to view or manage.

Once you select a project, you will see a series of default folders automatically created for the project depending on the modules you have used related to that project which contain files. These folders are named based on the modules associated with the project, ensuring that files for different aspects of the project are stored in their designated areas.

For example, the default folder structure might include:

Bills: A folder where all billing related documents for the project are saved (Bills from vendors or subcontractors).
Invoices: A folder where all invoices for the project are stored.
Estimates: This folder is used for files related to project estimates.

Each of these folders corresponds to a module within Contractor Foreman, so when you upload files from a specific module (like Bills or Change Orders), the system automatically files them into these default folders.

In some cases, the default folder structure may not be enough to meet the specific needs of your project. Contractor Foreman allows you to create additional folders and subfolders to customize the way your files are organized.

To create a new folder for s project, select the project and click on the + New Folder button. Type the name and press enter. Your new folder will be created within that project.
