Creating a default Scope of Work for your estimates in Contractor Foreman allows you to streamline the estimate creation process, ensuring that you have a pre-defined set of work items ready for every new estimate. This eliminates the need to manually enter the scope of work each time, saving time and reducing the risk of missing important scope of work items.

To begin, go to the Main Menu and select the Estimates module. This module is where you can manage all of your project estimates and related bid activities. Once you’re inside the Estimates module, click on the gear icon located in the top-right corner of the screen. This will open the Settings for the Estimates module, allowing you to customize various aspects, including the Scope of Work.

Within the General Settings section of the Estimates Settings, you will see a field called Estimates (Scope of Work). This is where you can create your default Scope of Work list. Click the green pencil icon to the top right of the settings window to go to the edit mode of the settings.

In Edit mode, you can start adding the specific scope of work items that you want to appear by default in all of your future estimates. Enter each item as part of a list, making sure to include every aspect of work that is common across your projects.

Once you have added all of your scope of work items, click Save to finalize your changes. This list will now serve as the default Scope of Work for all future estimates.

After setting your default Scope of Work, each time you create a new estimate, this list will automatically appear in the Scope of Work tab. You can select the relevant items for that specific estimate, or modify and add additional items as needed.
