To stop notifications from going to a device, go to Settings and select My Preferences. In this, go to Preference Settings and click the Edit button on the top right that looks like a pencil icon.
Here, you will see Task Notifications Via and under these are options like Email, Push and Text Message. If you uncheck any of these boxes, those methods of notifications will stop being sent.
