Deleting a file in Files and Photos is simple. Follow these steps:

  • Locate the file you want to delete within the Files and Photos module.
  • Hover your cursor over the file. You’ll see a small checkbox appear in the top-left corner of the file.
  • Select the file by checking the box.

  • Once selected, a new toolbar will appear below the blue banner (where your company name is displayed).
  • On the right-hand side of that toolbar, you’ll see several options — such as Copy, Move, Email, Download Zip, Email Zip File, Delete, and Save.
  • Click on the trash bin icon (Delete) to remove the file.

Deleting multiple files

To delete multiple files at once:

  • Continue checking the boxes next to each file you wish to delete.
  • Alternatively, click Select All (top-left corner below the “Files and Photos” title) to select all files in that folder.
  • Then click Delete to remove them all at once.

Important Notes

  • You can only delete files that were uploaded directly to the Files and Photos module.
  • If you try to delete a file that was uploaded through another module (e.g., Submittals, Estimates, or Projects), you’ll receive a message stating that the file is associated with another record and cannot be deleted here.

  • To delete those files, go to the original module where they were uploaded (e.g., Submittals, Estimates, or Projects) and follow the same steps there.

You can identify where a file was uploaded by checking the tag displayed under the file thumbnail — for example:

  • A tag that says Project means it was uploaded under the Project module.
  • A tag that says Estimate means it was uploaded under the Estimates module.

Only files uploaded directly in Files and Photos can be deleted from this module.
