Contractor Foreman gives you several easy ways to see the total amount invoiced to your customers, whether for a specific project, a date range, or your entire company. Below are the quickest and most effective options.

Option 1: Use the Finances Reports (Fast & Direct)

  1. Go to the Reports module.
  2. Scroll to the Finances section.
  3. Choose one of the following:
    • Accounts Receivable Report → shows all open and collected amounts
    • Invoices Report → shows all invoices created during the selected time period

These reports already include totals and dollar amounts, making them a fast way to view total billings.

Option 2: Use a Custom Report (More Flexibility)

  1. Go to the Reports module.
  2. Click Create New Custom Report.
  3. Select Invoices as the module.
  4. Choose the columns you want (invoice amount, customer, project, status, dates, etc.).
  5. Apply your filters:
    1. Date range
    2. Project
    3. Customer

This lets you build a personalized Total Billings report with exactly the data you need.

Optional: Schedule of Values (If You Use SOVs)

If your billing is based on the Schedule of Values, you can:

  1. Go to Create New Custom Report
  2. Select Schedule of Values
  3. View:
    1. Amount billed to date
    2. Percent complete
    3. Remaining balance

This is useful for progress billing, but you can omit it if you do not use SOVs.

Summary

You can generate Total Billings reports in two main ways:

1. Finances Reports (Quick & Pre-Built)

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Invoices

2. Custom Reports (Flexible & Detailed)

Custom Invoice Report

Both methods give you clear, accurate totals for all invoiced amounts—company-wide or per project.
