Create a Ticket Schedule a Training

In Contractor Foreman, you can generate invoices directly from your Service Tickets, helping keep all your billing organized and consistent with your workflow.

Step 1: Complete the Service Ticket (Recommended)

While it’s technically possible to create an invoice at any time, we recommend changing the Service Ticket status to “Completed” before invoicing.
This keeps your workflow clean and ensures that all work details have been finalized before charging the customer.

💡 Tip: If you prefer to invoice ahead of time, you can. The ability to create an invoice is not tied to the status of the Service Ticket — but consistency is key for tracking and reporting.

Step 2: Open the Service Ticket

  1. Go to the Service Tickets module.
  2. Select the Service Ticket you want to invoice.
  3. In the top-right corner of the screen, click the three-dot icon (⋯).
  4. Choose “Modify / Create Invoice.”

A pop-up window will appear, and the system will automatically generate an invoice for that Service Ticket.

Step 3: Review the Invoice Items

  • All the items you previously added under the Service App section of the Service Ticket (materials, labor, equipment, etc.) will transfer automatically to the invoice.
  • This saves time — you don’t have to retype or re-add items during the invoice creation process.
  • Technicians, project managers, estimators, or admins can enter these items ahead of time so that the invoice is ready to go with one click.

✅ This method is ideal for fast and accurate invoicing, avoiding double data entry.

Step 4: Finalize and Send the Invoice

Once the invoice has been generated:

  1. Click the three-dot icon again.
  2. Select “View PDF / Email.”
  3. Review, download, or email the invoice directly to the customer.

Step 5: Customer Records

Both Service Tickets and Invoices are stored under the Customer’s Profile, since service tickets are often not linked to a project.
This makes it easy to track the history of services and payments for each customer.

Why This Matters

  • Keeps your service and billing workflow consistent.
  • Reduces time spent creating invoices manually.
  • Ensures all billable items are captured accurately.
  • Makes backtracking easy for accounting and customer service.
