Contractor Foreman offers a flexible way to control what projects your employees can view. Before you can limit access, the employee must have their own user account within Contractor Foreman. (Click here to learn How do I setup a new User and send email with Login credentials?)

From the main menu, click on Directory and locate the employee you want to give login access to. Open the employee’s profile. On the left-hand panel of their profile, click on the Details tab. Find the section called Access Details.

In the Access Details section, you’ll find the field labeled Viewable Projects, which controls which projects the employee can access. By default, this field is set to All, meaning the employee has access to all the projects within Contractor Foreman.

To limit access, switch the setting from All to Some. Once you select Some, you will be prompted to choose which specific projects the employee can view. You can now manually select the projects that you want the employee to have access to.

In Contractor Foreman, project access works on a permissive model. This means you can allow access to specific projects rather than outright restrict access to certain ones. You cannot block an employee from accessing certain projects while allowing others by default. Instead, you can select the specific projects they can view.
