How do I link a Contractor to a Bid Package?

To link a contractor to a bid package in Contractor Foreman, follow these steps.

Start by navigating to the Bid Manager module from the Main Menu. Here, you will find a list of the bid packages you’ve created so far. Each package corresponds to a specific estimate that you are looking to receive bids on.

Identify the bid package to which you want to add a contractor. To add a subcontractor in the Bid Manager dashboard, first identify the bid package to which you want to add the subcontractor. On the right-hand side of the screen, click the Open in a New Tab icon — this will open the Bid Manager section within the Estimate. Once there, open and edit the bid package where you want to add the subcontractor. From that window, you’ll be able to include the subcontractor and make any necessary adjustments to the bid package.

In the Edit Mode of the bid package, navigate to the Bidders Tab. This is where you will manage all the contractors and bidders associated with this specific package.

To add a new contractor to the bid package, click on the Add Bidder button. This will prompt a list of your contractors. From this list, select the contractor you wish to link to the bid package. Once selected, the contractor will be associated with the bid package, and they will appear on the bidders’ list.

If you wish to invite the contractor to bid on this package, you need to move the bid package to the final stage from the chevron bar. Once ready, navigate back to the Bidders Tab where the contractor was added. You will see options to send the invitation to bid. To send the invitation, either click the Email Icon or the Send ITB (Invitation to Bid) button. This will send an email invitation to the selected contractor, inviting them to participate in the bidding process.
