How do I move files from one folder to another within Files & Photos?

How do I move files from one folder to another within Files and Photos?

Important: Only copies of the files can be moved to different folders, since the original files are unchangeable records. Within the system, you will be able to create copies if needed.

 

To move files between folders in the Files and Photos module, follow these steps:

  • Go to the main menu and open the Files and Photos module.

  • Locate the project where your files are stored. On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all your projects. Click on the project of your interest.

  • Once inside the project, open the folder that contains the file(s) you want to move.

  • Hover over the file and click the checkbox in the top left corner of the file preview.

  • After selecting one or multiple files, several action buttons will appear at the top of the screen.

  • Click on Generate a Copy for the selected file.

  • Select the folder where you would like to store the copy of the document.

  • Choose the destination folder where you want to move your file(s), and confirm the action. 

  • And this is how we can move the copies generated from other documents.
