Create a Ticket Schedule a Training

It’s important to understand that payments cannot be posted directly to a Service Ticket in Contractor Foreman. This functionality is intentionally not supported to maintain proper financial tracking and ensure all revenue is tied to invoices.

How to Properly Post a Payment for a Service Ticket

Since direct payments to Service Tickets are not possible, the correct workflow is as follows:

  1. Create an Invoice from the Service Ticket

    • Open the Service Ticket.

    • Use the “Create Invoice” option to generate an invoice for the services provided.

  2. Post the Payment Against the Invoice

    • Once the customer’s payment has been received and confirmed, post it against the invoice that was generated for the Service Ticket.

    • This ensures the payment is properly tracked in both your financial records and reporting.

Why This Workflow Matters

  • Keeps financial transactions organized and tied to invoices.

  • Ensures accurate reporting and accounting.

  • Creates a clear paper trail between service performed, invoice issued, and payment received.
