To post a payment to an invoice in Contractor Foreman, navigate to the Invoices Module from the main menu. From the list of invoices displayed, select the specific invoice to which you want to post a payment.

Once inside the invoice, click the three dots in the top right corner and select “Post Payment to Invoice.” You will be prompted to enter the following details:

Payment Date*: The date the payment was made.

Amount*: The amount being paid.

Payment Type*: Select the method of payment (e.g., bank transfer, check, cash).

Approval Status*: Choose whether the payment is approved or pending.

Payment Notes: Any additional information about the payment.

Reference #: Enter the reference number, such as a cheque or transaction number, if applicable.

After entering the required details, click “Apply” to post the payment.

Once the payment is recorded, you can view it under the “Payments” tab within the invoice.

If there is still a balance due, it will be reflected in both the “Items” tab and the “Payments” tab. Unless the invoice is fully paid, it will not be marked as paid. Once the invoice is fully paid, it will automatically be marked as paid.
