Tags in a Time Card are used as another way to categorize or to sort your time cards. One clear example of it is to tag a time card to items that are not already present in the Cost Code section.

If there is a time card started for a Change Order, for example, then a tag called Change Order Work would be beneficial so the employee who started the Time Card would not be mistaken for doing the work of a Project they are assigned to.

In this manner, tags help segregate and compartmentalize work in the app.

How do I create my own Tags?

Go to the System Settings by clicking on the Main Menu>Settings and Support > Settings and then, click on Custom under the System Settings.

Once there, there is a panel on the left hand side and towards the bottom of it, you will see the option Tags. Click on it to have the option to work with them.

In order to create a new Tag, just click on the “Add Custom Entry” button and then name the Tag and tick the checkbox to show it on the Time Cards. The status needs to be Active.

Next time you or your employees clock in, they will have the option to select that tag.
