The Access Code is a useful feature within Contractor Foreman, particularly for tracking property access details, such as entry codes or gate codes. This information ensures that field personnel, such as the Foreman, can easily enter a property when required, without delays or complications.

The Access/Gate Code is stored within the Customer record in the Directory. It can hold any access codes or security gate information necessary for entering a property or job site.

If you want to restrict who can see or access the Gate/Access Code, this can be controlled through user roles. To manage roles, first, go to the Main Menu and select Settings. Inside Settings, select the Roles section. This is where you can manage the permissions assigned to different users or user groups within your organization.

Once inside the Roles section, click the green pencil icon of the role you wish to modify, scroll down to the section labelled Directory.

Within the Directory permissions, locate the option for Customer Access Code (Field) and adjust the permission setting for specific roles. This ensures that only the relevant team members who need access to this information, such as the Foreman or Project Manager, can view the codes, while others, such as administrative staff or unrelated personnel, will not have access.
