In Contractor Foreman, you can convert a lead into a customer either manually or through an automated process.

Manual Conversion of a Lead to a Customer

There are two primary methods for manually converting a lead into a customer. Both methods are simple and can be completed directly from the Directory or Leads module.

Method 1: Convert a Lead from the Directory

Start by accessing the Directory module from the main menu in Contractor Foreman. Here, you will see all your contacts, including leads, employees, customers, and more. Find the lead you want to convert. You can either scroll through the list or use the filters to narrow down the contact types to Leads only.

Click on the lead’s name to open their profile. In the lead’s profile, click on the three dots located at the top right corner of the screen. Click Convert to Customer.

Method 2: Convert a Lead from the Leads Module

From the main menu, go to the Leads module where all leads are listed. Locate the lead you wish to convert and click on the three dots to the right of the lead’s name. From the options, click Convert to Customer.

Automated Lead Conversion in Contractor Foreman

Contractor Foreman also has an automated process that converts a lead into a customer when certain actions are completed.

When you create an Estimate for a Lead, submit the Estimate for Approval, If the lead approves the estimate, Contractor Foreman will automatically convert the lead into a customer.

Not only will the lead be converted into a customer, but Contractor Foreman will also automatically create a project based on the approved estimate. This step eliminates the need for manual entry and ensures that your workflow is as efficient as possible.

Another way to convert the Lead into a customer is when you issue an invoice to the Lead.
