If a contact is no longer needed, you can easily delete them from your directory.

Start by opening the Directory module from the main menu in Contractor Foreman. This is where all your contacts, including employees, customers, leads, contractors, vendors, and miscellaneous contacts, are stored.

Scroll through the list or use the filters at the top of the page to locate the specific contact you want to delete.

Once you’ve located the contact, click on the three dots located to the right of the contact’s name. This will open a menu with various options. Click on the Delete option.

A prompt will appear asking you to confirm the deletion by typing the word “delete.” This step ensures that deletions are intentional and prevents accidental removal of important contacts. After typing “delete,” confirm the action, and the contact record will be permanently removed from your directory.

Deleted contacts cannot be recovered, so be sure you want to remove the contact before confirming the action. Deleting a contact may affect related records, such as project assignments or estimates where that contact was involved, so it’s essential to double-check before deleting.

If you’re unsure, consider archiving the contact instead of deleting it, which will keep it out of the active list but still available for future use if needed.
