In Contractor Foreman, it is important to understand that a Work Order is always associated with an existing project. You cannot create a Work Order without first having a project in place, nor can you convert a Work Order into a standalone project. However, Contractor Foreman provides easy ways to manage and navigate between Work Orders and their associated projects.

Navigating Between a Work Order and its Project

When you open a Work Order in Contractor Foreman, you will notice that the project associated with that Work Order is displayed at the top of the Work Order screen. This allows you to quickly see which project the Work Order belongs to. Additionally, an icon next to the project name enables you to directly open the project in a new tab. This quick navigation feature is particularly useful for project managers who need to switch between detailed Work Orders and the broader project overview.

Viewing Work Orders Within a Project

If you are working within a project and want to view the Work Orders associated with it, you can do so under the Financial Tab of the project. Here, you will find a list of all Work Orders linked to that particular project. This centralized view allows you to monitor the financial aspects of the project, including the Work Orders that contribute to the overall budget and expenses.
