First of all, how does a Lead become a Customer within Contractor Foreman?

Converting a Lead to a Customer can be done in a couple of different ways, see below a short list of scenarios.

1. Convert the Lead to a Customer manually.

Go to the Leads Module, once there, find the Lead you would like to convert to a Customer and click on the three-dot-icon “action items”, which will show you the option to “Convert to Customer”.

2. The second way is when there is an Estimate associated to a Lead and then, that Estimate gets “Approved”. Contractor Foreman automatically will convert the Lead to a Customer.

3. The third and last option is when for a reason we create an Invoice to charge a Lead for a service or product done byour company. In this given case, the Lead will become a Customer automatically. Note that the Invoice needs to be on the status submitted.

In any of the above listed scenarios, every data that is present in the Lead will carry over to the Customer record. It is important to note that the Lead will disappear from the Leads Module and it will be found in the Directory Module, on the customer’s profile in the section “files”.
