Is it required to add or import the Schedule of Value from the Approved Estimate?

It is not required to add or import items from the estimate into the Schedule of Values (SOV), but it is the recommended approach. Doing so helps maintain accuracy and consistency between the estimate and the billing structure.

Important Notes

  • If a line item is marked as an Optional Item in the estimate, it will not appear in the Schedule of Values after approval.

  • Only approved items are carried into the SOV. If a line item is missing, first check whether it was marked as optional.

  • If the issue is not related to optional items and the line still does not appear in the SOV, further troubleshooting may be needed. In some cases, the estimate may need to be rechecked or recreated to properly display in the Schedule of Values.

 

Best Practice: Always review your estimate carefully before approval to confirm which items are marked as required vs. optional. This ensures that the Schedule of Values is generated correctly and avoids missing line items later on.
