Once an Opportunity is converted to a Project, the Estimate linked to that Opportunity is automatically assigned and connected to the new Project.

If the Estimate has not yet been approved, you will still need to go through the approval process within the Estimate. Keep in mind that the project budget and total contract value come directly from the approved estimate.

No matter what your workflow looks like, it’s essential that the estimate is approved—this ensures all financial values such as cost, markup, and total contract amount populate correctly in the Project. This process keeps your financial tracking accurate, your reports reliable, and your project setup seamless from start to finish.
