What Is the Purpose of a Compliance Notice?

A Compliance Notice is used to formally notify a subcontractor, vendor, or team member that they are not meeting the requirements outlined in the project plans, specifications, or contract documents. It serves as an official record that a performance, safety, or quality issue has been identified and must be corrected.

Compliance Notices help you:

  • Document work that is incorrect, incomplete, or outside of scope

  • Address poor workmanship or installation errors

  • Communicate when specifications or contract requirements are not being followed

  • Create a traceable record of the issue and the steps taken to resolve it

This type of notice is an important part of project documentation, helping ensure accountability, maintain quality standards, and protect your company if disputes arise.
