A T&M (Time & Materials) Invoice can be used when there is no fixed contract price, and the customer is billed based on the actual time spent and materials used for the project. The purpose of a T&M invoice is to gather the transactions, such as materials, labor hours and other expenses, over a specific period and bill them to the customer.

To create a T&M invoice in Contractor Foreman, go to the Main Menu and select Invoices. Click the + Invoice button on the top right to create a new invoice.

You will be prompted to fill in the information of the invoice and create it.

After the invoice is created, go to the Items tab from the left panel of the invoice. Click on Add Item to Invoice, and a dropdown will appear.

Select Add Time & Material Item from the options. A pop-up will appear, showing all available items that can be added to the invoice, such as:

Purchase Orders
Expenses
Change Orders
Time Cards
Bills
Equipment Logs

Select the relevant items you want to include in the invoice. After adding the T&M items to the invoice, you can set up a markup for each item if required. This allows you to charge an additional percentage on top of the cost for materials, labor, or any other expenses.
