Create a Ticket Schedule a Training

A Milestone is an important goal or checkpoint you set in your project schedule. The main distinction between a task and a milestone is that a task has a specific start date and a duration, while a milestone only marks a specific point in time with no associated duration. Tasks typically involve work that needs to be done, whereas milestones signify the completion of key phases or the achievement of critical goals.  They are used to mark key events or decision points, helping you track progress toward important goals.

To add a milestone to your schedule in Contractor Foreman, Navigate to the Schedule module from the Main Menu to access the Gantt chart interface, where you can manage your project tasks and milestones.

In the Gantt chart, start by adding a task as you normally would. There, you will see an option to change from a task to a milestone.

Enter the milestone details, including a name, description, and a date. After marking the task as a milestone, click Save. The milestone will now be displayed on your Gantt chart, represented by a diamond that marks its position in the project timeline.

Milestones help you set and achieve important goals by providing clear checkpoints along your project schedule.
